How to Make Protein Pancakes Taste Good

Protein Pancakes

Have you ever tried to make protein pancakes? The first few months I tried so hard to enjoy protein pancakes, my significant other was always so supportive and would eat them. I tried adding almond flour, coconut flour, banana, water, coconut milk, real butter, fake butter, let me tell you, keep it simple. This video is a realtime video, that way you can make them with me.

Ingredients:

Pancakes:

1 egg

2 scoops protein powder

1/2 cup of oat milk (or any vegan milk) until the right consistency

1 Scoop of fiber

Optional: Chocolate chips, cinnamon, or vanilla

Toppings:

Agave

Vegan butter

Peanut butter

Agave syrup

Vegan Whip cream

Fruit

Protein Pancakes

Total Time: 15 minutes

MIX IT

Start by putting one egg, protein powder, Fiber, and vegan “milk” into a bowl. Mix together with a fork or whisk. Add enough milk to make a pancake mix consistency, thick but able to drip off your whisk.

HEAT THE PAN

I put the heat on medium heat, and then had to turn it down. Put vegan butter, or olive oil in the pan. Then start with a small pancake to make sure the consistency and the heat of the pain is right. If pancakes is too runny it will look more like a crepe. If to thick it will be dark on the outside but not cooked all the way through on the inside.

WHEN TO FLIP

The easiest way to tell when to flip is when it doesn’t stick to the pan, Unlike regular pancakes you don’t want to see bubbles in the middle. Small bubbles around the edge is enough to know its time to flip.

PLATE IT

After flipping the pancake it only needs 30 seconds to a minute depending on how hot your pan is. They taste good right out of the pan, I do not suggest making them and re-heating later. They will get soggy in the fridge.
