Vegas $80 a day

Remember when you were a teenager and your best friend acted out what THE bachlorette party would be like. You would watch 27 dresses, Bridesmaid and The Hangover, and decided it would be something in between the three probably in that order.

Well my best friend got engaged last January and this September we are going to Vegas for four days to celebrate. Of course I was more then thrilled to plan it out for her.

I started with Airbnb V Hotels.

Hotels can give you alot of good perks, free breakfast if you get up in time, discounts on clubs or pool parties.

What I find is we often miss breakfast and we get into clubs free (I’ll explain that more in a minute). So the idea of a hotel seems more expensive per day, especially because they tack on a daily tax, then going with an Airbnb.

Airbnb does a payment plan for some guests and it ends up being cheaper per person in the end. I do highly suggest putting your food cost in this category as well. Because meals are more likely being community cost at an Airbnb.

Next is clubs and activities.

So as a group of girls for a bachelorette party, all I really had to do was message 15-30 “promoters” and see which ones had the best deals. I have done this with boys in the past as well but it only works with even number boy to girl ratio.

The promoters get paid by how many people they get to show up so make sure to tell the front who invited you or else you won’t be invited back. I found a few people who were able to get me into pool parties with drink tickets, and clubs with a table for completely free.

This usually means that it’s a slow time (like 10pm) or a slow night for them because of another huge event going on. But it benefits us because we are balling on a budget. Do not be surprised if they ask for a photo and don’t be discouraged if they don’t respond right away. They are going for a specific look, or making sure you are not underage before they spend time on helping you.

The final cost I look at per person is flights.

I had girls coming from LA, Boise ID, and Atlanta GA. So coordinating flight can be difficult. My best friend took it upon herself to book everyone’s flight from boise to Las Vegas on her credit card and get the money from them.

The rest of us were given dates on when we need to be there. We got it down to about $170 a flight after taxes and fees.

I personally use sky scanner and look for the cheapest dates before I even look at housing. The last weekend of August was the cheapest time to go. Let’s break the cost down.

PRICING BREAK DOWN

-Housing total: $700
-Flight total: $900
-Transportation total: $350
– Food: $300
-Extra: whatever people have budgeted
Total: $2,250
People: 7
Per person: $350
Days: 5
Amount: a little over $70 a day

  1. Love this! I always go the air bnb route but you bring up some great points about how being in a hotel can cut eating costs a lot! Thank you for sharing
